Fire guts 30 apartments at Spintex

About 30 apartments have been torched by fire at Kotobabi Junction at Spintex.

According to Starr News’ Kwasi Anim Adjei, the wild fire, which is fast spreading is believed to have sparked from a nearby factory.

He said the police need to beef up their team at the fire scene because “the crowd is getting out of control” as people run for their lives as others try to salvage leftover belongings.

He said the residents have to “rush out of the buildings having seen a thick black smoke.”

Adjei reported that the “residents have been evacuated safely” after a chaotic scene ensued initially.

“I was watching TV and I saw the smoke… everyone is safe and we thank God there was no injury,” a resident told Adjei from the scene.

The police and fire fighters are at the scene to bring the blaze under control.
