Fire destroys traders’ house and property at Mim

Mim (B/A) Feb. 10 GNA- Fire razed a house belonging to a trader at Mim in Asunafo District of Brong Ahafo destroying personal items worth millions of cedis in the early hours of last Thursday.

There was no casualty in the fire out-break, the second in two months that fire had destroyed a house in the District.

Items destroyed included clothing, trunks, furniture and electrical gadgets.

The victim, Madam Adwoa Yeboah, told the Ghana News Agency it took the combined efforts of the fire department of Ayum Forest Products, a private timber company and some youth more than 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.

She appealed to the District Assembly and the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) to come to her aid.
