Fire destroys three stores at Ho

Ho, Sept 30, GNA- Three stores at the Ho Central Market were on Tuesday gutted by fire and items destroyed include personal effects, liquor and hardware worth millions of cedis.

Assistant Divisional Officer Mr Sakutey Addo, of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), told the Ghana News Agency that it took the firemen 15 minutes to put off fire.

He said the cause of the fire is being investigated but suspected an electrical fault. Mr Addo said the fire that started from the liquor bar spread through the hardware and the paint stores.
