Fire destroys spare parts shops at Bogoso junction

Spare parts dealers operating at Bogoso Junction were thrown into a state of wailing in the early hours of Monday when fire destroyed six container shops stocked with vehicle spare parts.

The fire destroyed spare parts and electrical gadgets running into thousands of Ghana cedis.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, the Divisional Fire Officer for the municipality, Madam Hanna Quaicoe, said his outfit had a call around 0523 hours on Monday that there was a fire outbreak at Bogoso junction and controlled the fire within a few minutes of their arrival.

She said to ensure that such incidents are prevented in the municipality the owners of the shops would be invited to assist in investigations into the cause of the fire outbreak.
