Fire destroys shops at Spintex

Several shops along the Baatsona Total filling station on the Spintex road have been destroyed by fire.

Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service who managed to douse the fire are yet to ascertain what triggered the fire that started around 2pm Saturday.

But shop owners tell Starr News that they have lost millions of Ghana in the blaze.

Eyewitnesses who spoke to Starr News’ Osei Amankwah stated that the fire might have been triggered by some squatters near-by since there was power outage in the area at the time the fire started.

Meanwhile, Fire Service personnel have commenced investigations into the incident.
