Fire destroys properties in cape coast

Cape Coast, April 4, GNA – Personal properties worth several thousands of Ghana cedis were destroyed following a fire outbreak, which occurred at a house belonging to the late Edu Bofo, owner of the Mfantsiman Printing Press at Cape Coast on Thursday. Items including wax prints, foams and children’s wear were burnt to ashes. It took about an hour before fire personnel from the Cape Coast Metropolitan Fire Station with support from the regional office and the University of Cape Coast Fire station, were able to bring the fire under control. According to Mr Emmanuel Adjei, the Station Officer of Cape Coast fire station, the support from the other fire stations became necessary because of the intensity of the fire. It was not immediately known, what could have caused the outbreak.
