Fire destroys New Edubiase government Hospital

The New Edubiase Government Hospital was on Monday razed down by fire.

The fire, according to an eyewitness account, started around 2am Monday dawn.

It is not clear what caused the fire, but fire service personnel from the Asante Bekwai, New Edubiase and Adanse Fomena fire stations are reportedly still at the scene struggling to put out the inferno.

A local journalist, Daasebre Kojo Antwi, told StarrFMonline.com that the departments worse affected are the hospital’s pharmacy, outpatient department (OPD) and a number inpatient wards.

No casualties have been recorded yet.
