Fire destroys food items at Akrofrom

Akrofrom (B/A) Jan. 4, GNA – Fire has destroyed food items worth about 12 million cedis belonging to Mr. Samuelson Marmuh, Assembly Member at Akrofrom in Techiman municipality. The items included 15 bags of maize, yam seedlings, dried pepper, plantain and cassava. There was no casualty. Mr. Marmuh told the Ghana News Agency (GNA), he had stocked the items in a shed and suspected foul play and had reported the incident to the police. He called on the police to conduct a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to book and appealed for assistance from the National Disaster Management Organisation and the Municipal Assembly.
