Apam, July 17, GNA – Mrs Esther Hamilton, Headmistress of Apam Secondary School (APASS), has appealed to old students of second cycle institutions to help to improve conditions in their alma mater. She said this when she received two computers and accessories from the Finnish-Ghanaian Friendship Association (FIGFA) based in Finland. Mr Kofi Nyamekye Pitsil Brace, an old student of the school, presented the items worth over 20 million cedis on behalf of the association.
This brings to 10 the number of computers presented to the school by FIGFA since the beginning of this year.
Mrs Hamilton expressed the school’s appreciation to the association and expressed the hope that the items would inspire other old students to make donations to help raise standards in the school.
Mr Brace said under the Computer Literacy Project in Ghana, which started in 2000 FIGFA has donated 45 computers, 15 printers and accessories, estimated at 140 million cedis to three second-cycle institutions and an organisation.
Members of the Noble Club, a social organization at APASS presented an Electronic Sign Post valued at two million cedis to the school.
