Fiaso branch of GPRTU elects interim executives

Fiaso(B/A), Jan. 30, GNA – A seven-member interim management committee for Fiaso branch of Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) of Trades Union Congress has been inaugurated at Fiaso. Mr Abu Tunbie was elected Chairman, Mr Briamah Mahama, Vice Chairman, Wofa Yaw, Secretary, Mr Musah Tampurima, First Trustees, Mr Issaku Issah, Second Trustee, Mr Seidu Drahamani, Porter and Mr Kwame Yeboah, Stationmaster.

Mr Kwadwo Yeboah, First Trustee of Techiman branch of GPRTU, inaugurating the committee called for closer collaboration between the two unions to enhance their operations.

Mr Yussif Alhaji Nashiru, General Secretary of Techiman branch of GPRTU, asked the new executives to be law-abiding in their operations and honest when dealing with drivers and passengers. Nana Kwarteng Ameyaw, Odikro of Fiaso advised the executives not to dabble in partisan politics but remain neutral and render services to the people.

Mr James Kwabena Osei, Assembly Member for Forikrom, advised drivers to desist from overloading and alcoholism.
