Fertilizer plant to be built in Shama District

Shama (W/R), Nov. 19, GNA – A fertilizer plant and a regional hospita= l would soon be built in the Shama District, Mr. Paul Evans Aidoo, the West= ern Regional Minister, has said.

He expressed his appreciation to chiefs in the Shama Traditional Are= a for releasing land for these two important projects in the district. Mr. Aidoo said this in a speech read on his behalf at the Enyi/Pra festival in Shama. He said the discovery of oil and gas in commercial quantities provide= d the country with an immense opportunity to effectively improve the econom= y and urged the people to be vigilant and report any persons with suspiciou= s character in their area to the security agencies.

area, which can be a major source of all kinds of aberrations such as arm= ed robbery and prostitution.”

Mr. Aidoo said the government would not relent on its efforts at providing quality health care to the citizenry and urged the people to register with the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). 19 Nov. 10
