Father Kpoanu advises students to focus on studies

Reverend Father Roland Kpoanu of the Saint Michael Anglican Church, Korle-Gonno, has advised students to focus on their studies and to respect the elderly in society.

He further urged them to obey the rules and regulations of their respective schools to help them pass their examination.

Rev. Kpoanu gave the advice in Accra during a church service of the Remel Preparatory/Junior High School to mark the Christmas and New Year festivities.

The church service, on the theme: “Unto Us a Child is Born……” was attended by pupils from the nursery, kindergarten, primary and junior high schools. The colourful event was also patronised by parents, friends, relatives and dignitaries.

Rev Kpoanu said “Jesus, the child born unto us is the light of the world and those living in darkness should take advantage of the season and change their habits of living”.

He congratulated teachers for their hard work and asked parents to show great interest in their wards’ education.

Performances such as poetry recitals, scripture readings, inspirational sketch, choreography and the nativity play by the school’s drama troupe were put up.
