Fate of Musah Superior to be determined by Tamale Metropolitan Assembly today

The fate of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s nominee for the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly, Iddrisu Musah Superior will be determined by the assembly members today Friday March 17, 2017.

Per the local government act, he supposed to secure two-thirds of the total number of votes of 58 assembly members of the entire assembly in order to be confirmed.

Checks by mynewsgh.com revealed that the assembly has 18 appointed assembly members and 40 elected making full component of 58.

Iddrisu Musah Superior was among three others appointment as Metropolitan Chief Executives in the first batch of the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) for the 216 districts in the country, subject to the approval of their respective assemblies.

A statement issued by the Director of Communications at the Presidency; Eugene Arhin Friday March 10, 2017, said Musah Superior has been nominated as the Chief Executive for the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly.

The rest are Mohammed Adjei Sowah, Accra Metropolitan Assembly; Anthony K. K. Sam, Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly and Osei Assibey Antwi, Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.
