Farouk Braimah is dead

The former environment and science minister, Farouk Braimah, is dead. He passed away at the 37 Military Hospital on Sunday after a short illness.

He was 61.

The deceased was the immediate past NDC Propaganda Director and a minister in the NDC government.

He was active in the ongoing saga now on appeal at the Supreme Court involving the Electoral Commission’s refusal to release final results of Election 2004 that provisionally declared President Kufuor a Provisionally elected President

He was last seen in public at the demonstration against the passage of the Representation of the People Amendment Act (ROPAA).

The late Farouk Braimah is expected to be buried today (Monday) after an autopsy.
