Farmers urged to be wary of politicians

Twifo Praso, April 10, GNA – The national organiser of the Ghana National Association of Farmers and Fishermen (GHNAFF), Mr Emmanuel Tetteh Danyo, has warned members of the association to be careful of “pledge-making politicians who will promise them everything but fulfil nothing.”

Addressing farmers at Twifo-Praso in the Central region, Mr Danyo therefore urged members of the association to ensure that they voted people with a high sense of honesty, dedication and commitment to the goals and aspirations of farmers and fishermen to power.

He charged farmers and fishermen to be abreast with government policies on the socio-economic development of their communities and the country. He advised farmers to take the forthcoming voters registration review exercise scheduled to start on April 15 seriously.

Mr D.A. Asamoah, Central regional chairman of the association advised members to keep only to their marriage partners to avoid contracting the deadly disease AIDS.
