Farmer trapped to death by falling tree

Jachie (Ash.) April 20 GNA- A 50-year-old-farmer, Mr Douglas Opoku, was trapped to death by a tree he was felling on his farm at Jachie in the Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma District.

Police Chief Inspector Bossman Tuffuor told the Ghana News Agency that the wife of the deceased, Adwoa Manfoa spotted the lifeless body of Mr Opoku, when she had visited the farm to give him food and water. The body had since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for autopsy while the Police is carrying out investigations.
