Information reaching DAILY GUIDE indicates that a 45-year old farmer, Komla Takyi of Leklebi Fiafe has shot himself in the head.
The man who is father of about 10 children with different wives died instantly after the suicide act which occurred last Sunday evening.
According to some witnesses, the man was in the house with four of his children that fateful evening. He sent the children on an errand and locked himself in the room and shot himself in the head.
Neighbours and some members of his household rushed to his room after hearing the gunshot only to find him dead.
When the Police at Ve-Golokwati was contacted they refused to comment on the matter and directed that the Hohoe Divisional Police Command be contacted. However a source close to the Hohoe Police confirmed the incident and added that investigations were still ongoing.
The body has been deposited at the Hohoe Government Hospital Morgue awaiting autopsy.
