Farmer remanded for murder

Cape Coast, Sept. 14, GNA – The Circuit Court at Cape Coast, on Tuesday remanded Sampson Foso a 36-year-old farmer into prison custody for allegedly murdering one Forson at Eshirow, near Mankessim. His plea was not taken and he would re-appear on Tuesday September 28.

Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Samuel Addae told the Court presided over by Mr Mustapha Logoh, that Foso and the deceased were friends and lived in the same village. Chief Insp Addae said Foso accused Forson of stealing maize from his farm, resulting in a misunderstanding. The prosecutor said on September 10 this year, at about 1800 hours Foso allegedly ambushed and shot at the deceased in the thigh, killing him instantly. Chief Insp Addae said the body had been sent to the Central Regional Hospital at Cape Coast for autopsy.
