Cape Coast, March 4, GNA- A circuit court at Cape Coast, on Tuesday remanded George Adu, a 38-year old farmer, for indecently assaulting a six-year old primary one pupil at Nyankumasi-Ahenkro in the Assin District of the Central Region.

Adu pleaded not guilty to indecent assault and he would re-appear at the court presided over by Mr Richard Asiedu-Badu on Tuesday, March 11.

Chief Inspector Francis Ockom, told the court that on December 24, last year, the accused, also a public latrine attendant in the Nyankumasi township indecently assaulted the girl after she had gone to the public toilet.

Prosecution said the girl had earlier paid 20 Ghana pesewas to the accused person and after visiting the toilet he (accused) asked the girl to take her money back.

Chief Inspector Ockom said when the girl wanted to take the money, accused pulled her into a kiosk and inserted his finger into her private part and warned her not to disclose the incident to anyone.
