Nyinahin (Ash), Jan. 14, GNA – The Nyinahin Magistrate Court has granted a GH¢100 bail to a 50-year old farmer for threatening to kill a couple. Yaw Mosi, pleaded not guilty to the offence and will re-appear on January 15, this year. Police Chief Inspector Napoleon Isaac Asherow told the court presided over by Mr Augustine Essah that on August 11, last year, Kofi Asiedu and Adwoa Nyamekye, the complainants, went to their farm at Nyinahin in the Atwima Mponua District of Ashanti to harvest some maize. He said on reaching the farm, they saw the accused already on the farm. Mosi claimed ownership of the land d therefore ordered Asiedu and Nyamekye to leave the area which resulted into a quarrel. Chief Inspector Asherow said Asiedu and Nyamekye challenged the accused about his claim. Mosi then threatened to kill them with a cutlass he was holding. Later the complainants reported the matter to the police and Mosi was arrested and after investigations he was charged with the offence. 14 Jan 09
