Farmer defiles 13-year-old JHS girl

Tei Agbo, a 30-year-old farmer, was on Thursday remanded into prison custody by the Kade District Magistrate’s Court for defiling a 13- year-old Junior High School (JHS) girl.

Agbo whose plea was not taken, would re-appear before court on February 26.

Police Sergeant Ambrose Akpabli told the court presided over by Mr Abdul Iliasu Majid that Agbo and the girl lived in the same area at Akawani, near Asuom.

The prosecution said on May 8, when Agbo realized that the victim’s mother had travelled, he invited the girl to grind pepper for him.

Sgt. Akpabli said when the girl went to Agbo he rather lured her into his room and defiled her.

The prosecution said when the victim’s mother returned she detected the offence and reported the case to the police.
