Farmer commits suicide

Ejura (Ash), Dec. 24, GNA- Ayambila Frafra, a 55-year-old farmer at Kasei near Ejura has committed suicide.

The deceased, who was on admission at the Kasei Saint Luke Hospital, was said to have left the hospital unnoticed and was found dead in his room.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) William Awuvey, the Ejura-Sekyedumase District Police Commander, who briefed the Ghana News Agency, said the deceased reportedly drunk a toxic substance. He said the deceased was put on infusion after the toxic substance had been siphoned from his system.

Mr Awuvey said, however, that the deceased removed the drip and left the hospital in the evening unnoticed for his house. He said close neighbours woke up the next morning to find him dead in his room and reported the matter to the police.
