Fanteakwa District Assembly elects Presiding Member

Begoro, Nov. 01, GNA 96 Members of Fanteakwa District Assembly, on Monday elected Mr Kwasi Adjabeng Ntori, a retired Assistant Director of Education as its Presiding Member at Begoro. Mr Christopher Narh, his opponent withdrew his candidature after failing to obtain two-thirds majority vote in the first round of voting.

Mr Ntori polled 44 votes in the second round of voting with six against and two abstentions by the 54-member assembly.

He expressed appreciation to the members for the confidence reposed in him and appealed to them to eschew all unpatriotic tendencies and co-operate to develop the district.
