Family of Major Mahama thanks Nana Addo for supporting them

President of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has been praised by the aggrieved family of Major Maxwell Mahama for his kind gesture to them in these difficult times of their mourning.

The president who had announced a 500,000 cedi seed capital for the educational purposes of the captain’s children got the spokesperson of the aggrieved family, Zakaria Sakara, how shocked and out of words the family is for the president’s kindest gesture.

“We were short of words when the president announced that government has set up a fund for the wife and children of Major Maxwell Mahama,” the spokesperson revealed. Since the tragic incident where an army captain was mistaken for an armed robber, and lynched to death by some residents of the Denkyira-Obuasi area, the township has been reportedly abandoned by many residents who fear a possible reprisal attack.
