Fake GHOne Journalist arrested

Two persons who posed as journalists of Accra-based GHOne TV, owned by EIB Network, and TV3, owned by Media General Ghana Limited, respectively, have been arrested over an attempt to swindle the Northern Regional Minister Abdullah Abubakari.

Joshua Nana Kwabena Opoku and Ebenezer Adu-Frimpong were nabbed after they failed to provide their identities while trying to set up an interview with the Minister.

Background checks conducted by the Minister gave them out.

They were subsequently arrested, and have since been arraigned before court.

They are to reappear on Monday, August 29.
