An ex-convict parading himself as a staff of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has been nabbed by the police in Akwatia in the Eastern region.

The man believed to be in his late twenties is reported to have deceived and defrauded people under the pretext of securing electric meters and poles for them.

Through this act, the man who is reported to have returned from prison two months ago has been able to defraud several people in places like Kade, Akwatia, Boadua and Nkwanta of their monies running into millions of Ghana cedis.

He has, however, been arrested by the Police in Akwatia with investigations currently ongoing.
