Fake doctor arrested with weapons

A 46-year-old man, who is practicing as a doctor without a medical license, at Sene in the Brong Ahafo region, has been arrested.

John Ntiakaw who runs a private medical facility was also in possession of firearms when he was picked up by the Police.

Speaking to Starr News, the PRO of the Brong Ahafo regional Police command ASP Xhristopher Tawiah said the suspect, who will be sent to court today, will be prosecuted for operating as an illegal physician and also for the possession of ammunition.

“He was arrested by the Kwame Danso Police for operating the clinic and chemical shop in his house without license. Items such as used syringes, large quantities of assorted drugs, one pump action gun and six life cartridges have been retrieved.

“He is currently in Police custody awaiting prosecution at the court. It is likely he will be prosecuted for unlawful possession of firearms,” ASP Tawiah noted.
