Ex-policeman found dead in mine pit

Twifo-Domiabra (C/R), March 22, GNA – Jacob Agoso, a 50-year old ex-policeman was on Monday found dead in an abandoned goldmine pit at Twifo-Domiabra in the Twifo-Heman-Lower Denkyira District of the Central Region.

Mr Stephen Delaporte, District Police Commander who briefed the GNA on the incident on Tuesday, said the deceased left home for his farm on Saturday, but failed to return. He said his family “became suspicious” and during a search found his dead body in a 25-metre deep pit on his farm. According to him, the body, which was in a state of decomposition had been retrieved and deposited at the Regional Hospital in Cape Coast for autopsy.
