Ex-Minister seek for probe

The ongoing biometric registration has brought with it a lot of controversies and confrontations between politicians and the security agencies.

The commander of the Moto Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) of the Ghana Police Service, ACP Angwubotoge Awuni and other police personnel are alleged to have assaulted the former Greater Accra Regional minister, Nii Armah Ashietey.

Tension mounted as the former minister raised concerns about the manner in which voters from Kantamanto are increasingly registering in his constituency.

The Member of Parliament for Osu Klorttey Korley constituency was alleged to have engaged in electoral fraud which upon investigations proved false.

Nii Armah Ashittey told the Independent newspaper he did not engage in any act of electoral fraud but he protested the rate at which strangers were registering in his constituency.

On this note, he called for the National Security Service to probe into the incident to vindicate him.
