Ex-footballer bit in brutal racist attack

UK — A LEATHERHEAD man has been arrested after a vicious racist attack on a man after England’s exit from the World Cup.

The 23-year-old man was questioned after a former international footballer for Ghana was hit, kicked and beaten outside a pub where he had been watching England’s clash with Portugal.

At the end of the match on July 1, 29-year-old Victor Aidoo left The Maverick pub in Chessington to check on his bike.

He did not take any notice as someone approached him but was punched in the head.

His attacker bit him on the back and used Mr Aidoo’s bike as a weapon against him.
