EU Multi-Million Market Project Commissioned, Not Utilised in Bawku

The multi million cedi Bawku market built with EU 5th micro-project funds has been left idle for several months after commissioning.

The stalls have been occupied by madmen and drug peddles.

A source close to the district administration said the delay was asa result of delays caused by the administration that would have to allocate stalls to the traders.

However, a visit to Bawku on a market day shows several satellite markets dotted in between houses.

This situation causes a lot of inconvenience to both traders and buyers.
