EU delegation in Ghana presents vehicles to GIS

Accra, Nov. 04, GNA – The European Union Delegation in Ghana on Friday presented five double-cabin Pick-Up vehicles worth GH?195,000 to the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) in Accra to support on-going programme on Migration and Asylum.

Mr Claude Maerten, Head of European Union Delegation in Ghana, presenting the keys called on the GIS to enhance its capabilities in dealing with developing new threat assessment methodologies.

In addition, it should define intervention priorities and establish links with national security strategy as well as regional security strategy to respond to emerging threats and react more quickly to the new forms of human trafficking.
