Esther Sewordor crowned Winner of 2015 Miss Culpeper Scholarship Pageant

Miss Culpeper Scholarship Pageant is an annual contest to recognize the talent, intelligence, poise, and appearance of the young ladies of Eastern View and Culpeper County High Schools.

28 young ladies from Eastern View and Culpeper High Schools initially auditioned to make it to the finals of the Miss Culpeper Scholarship Pageant! 12 Talented finalists showcased their beauty and intellect on stage during the sixth annual Miss Miss Culpeper Scholarship Pageant on Saturday, March 6th, to compete for college scholarships. It was a great night of fun and entertainment The program opened with a dance number, followed by a question/answer segment where contestants draw questions and then need to answer spontaneously, and then the talent portion.

This year’s participants included Esther Sewordor whose parents are from Ghana in West Africa. The judges evaluated the participants in four areas: group dance performance, question/answer session, individual talent and the formal dress/gown competition. Judges also considered each contestant’s grade point average as part of their score, At the end of the contest Esther Sewordor was crowned the Winner of the 2015 Miss Culpeper Scholarship Pageant.

The first place winner took home $2,000, second place $750 and third place $250.
