Estate agent in court for planting Indian hemp in bathroom

Accra, May 5, GNA – An estate agent, Abdul Sadat Nii Okang Ahul, who planted Indian hemp (wee) in his bathroom, appeared at an Accra Circuit Court on Monday charged for cultivating Indian hemp without authority. Ahul whose plea was not taken would reappear again on May 14. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Aidan Dery told the court that on April 25, this year, one Amoaful Yeboah accused Ahul of stealing his laptop, a stereo system, a football and cash of 8,000 dollars. He said Ahul was arrested and when the police searched his room they found none of the items. However, a further search revealed three plants suspected to be Indian hemp planted in his bathroom. When Ahul was quizzed by the Police he said he planted the hemp himself.
