Establish “Presidential Monitoring Team” – ECCAG

Accra, Jan. 9, GNA – Environmentally Concerned Citizens Association of Ghana (ECCAG), an environmental NGO, on Friday recommended to President John Evans Atta Mills to form a Presidential Monitoring Team to check lapses of government appointees. A statement signed by Mr Joseph Yaw Aidoo, National President of the Association, said the team shall check the lapses of government appointees and other officials who may take the laws into their own hands. “Our recommendation has been necessitated by concerns expressed by members of the general public during our tours and programmes throughout the country,” the statement said. It congratulated President Atta Mills for his election to the highest position in the land and appealed to the two former Presidents to come together to move forward and build a better Ghana.
