Esiama (W/R), Oct 28, GNA – Nana Kofi Ampoe IV, Chief of Esiama in the Nzema East district on Friday led the people to undertake a massive cleanup exercise in the town to round off this year’s annual Kundum festival of the chiefs and people of the area.
Traditional drumming and dancing, family get-togethers, parties, sports and games, pouring of libation and Church services were some of the activities that marked the one-week celebration. Addressing the people after the exercise, Nana Ampoe stressed the need for them to keep their surroundings clean always to improve sanitation.
Nana Ampoe urged leaders of the various churches and youth groups to collaborate with the traditional council to initiate programmes aimed at improving the lives of the people. 28 Oct. 06
