Ernesto Yeboah, Akomfrah stopped from entering CPP headquarters

The National Youth Organiser of the Convention People’s Party Ernesto Yeboah and General Secretary Nii Armah Akomfrah were physically prevented from entering the headquarters of the party Monday morning by supporters loyal to party Chairman Edmund Delle.

The scuffle comes after party leaders loyal to the chairman rejected a disciplinary committee report exonerating the suspended executives.

The two are serving suspension for openly criticizing President John Mahama over the Ford gift saga after their flagbearer Ivor Greenstreet cleared the president of any wrong doing.

While the disciplinary committee report says the two have been cleared because no formal charges were pressed against them during the committee’s sittings, the Delle-led executives say the committee had no right to publish their report since it has not been vetted by the party.

They insist the findings and conclusions of the Disciplinary Committee are inaccurate and unacceptable.
