Equitable and acceptable solution found to grievances of Nurses

Accra, Sept. 30, GNA – A Committee made up of Cabinet Ministers, Ministry of Health Technical Team, representatives of Ghana Registered Nurses Association (GRNA) and other Health Professional Groups says an equitable and acceptable solution has been found to the grievances of striking Nurses.

A press statement on the grievances of members of GRNA signed by members of the Committee said: “The Leadership of GRNA has given the assurance that all their members on strike will return to work with immediate effect.

“The Leadership of the GRNA and other Health Professionals have resolved to find a long term solution for the administration of Additional Duty Hours Allowance (ADHA)”, the statement said. Dr A.G. Boohene, Chairman of Ghana Health Service Council; Professor K. Frimpong Boateng, Chief Executive, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital; Dr A. Nsiah-Asare, Chief Executive, Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital; Mrs Alice Asare Allotey, President GRNA and Mr S. Owusu Agyei, Chief Director Ministry of Health, signed the statement. 30 Sept. 04
