EP Pastors Association condemns desecration of Martyrs of Uganda Chapel

Ho, May 15, GNA – The Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Church, Ghana, Pastors Association has abhorred the recent desecration of the Martyrs of=

Uganda Roman Catholic Church at Mamprobi in Accra with human excreta. A statement signed by The Rev Lawrence K. Dzanku, Secretary to the Association, said the criminal act supposed to have been committed as a protest against certain internal issues and the visit of Bishop Palmer Buckle, Accra Metropolitan Archbishop to the church, was sacrilegious and=

uncalled for.

It said the matter could have been resolved amicably and not through “this crude and uncivilized method”.

The statement warned about possible retribution for those who carried out that dastardly act, just as it had happened to those who carried out simi= lar sacrilege in biblical times. The Association said it considered the act as an “affront to the priesthood and Christendom in general, for which the perpetrators must better come back to apologize for their sins to be forgiven”. 15 May 10
