Environmental Protection Agency At Axim Shows Concern For Sanitation At Hospital

Axim (West Region), 22 Sept., The Axim Environmental Protection Association has donated eight refuse bins to the Axim Government Hospital. The association’s donation was in fulfillment of a pledge to improve the environmental conditions at the hospital in January this year after a clean-up exercise. Mr. Ato London, the Project Co-ordinator, presented the items to Dr. Eric Nsiah-Boakye, Senior Medical Officer in charge of the hospital. Dr. Nsiah-Boakye thanked the association for the gift and urged others to emulate the association. Meanwhile, the hospital management committee is building a kitchen and out-patients sheds at a total cost of 3.1 million cedis with members of the environmental association and the Axim Youth Association providing communal labour.
