Ensure transparency and accountability, NDC leadership told

Koforidua, Oct. 21, GNA – The Eastern Regional Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Bismark Tawiah-Boateng has urged leadership of the party in the constituencies to ensure transparency and accountability in all their activities.

He said only executives who had not been fair and demonstrated good leadership qualities who would be afraid to submit themselves for re-election.

Mr Tawiah-Boateng was speaking at a meeting with constituency executives of the party from the region in Koforidua on Wednesday. They discussed rules and regulations concerning the holding of all party conferences. He cautioned that if executive members refuse to make nomination papers available to a section of party members, it might make some of them disgruntled.

Mr Tawiah-Boateng said all constituency conferences in the region were expected to be held by November 18 and the regional nominations would be opened from November 10 to 17. The NDC Regional Secretary, Mr Anthony Gyampoh called on party members to avoid the use of abusive language against each other during campaigns.
