Engineer falls to his death

Akwatia, April 6, GNA – A 35-year-old telecommunication engineer, Benjamin Ebo Otwer, who was fixing an antenna on a communication tower fell to his death at Boadua near Akwatia at the weekend.

According Assistant Superintendent of Police (A.S. P) M. K. Oduro, Akwatia District Police Commander, the MTN contracted Caramoni Ghana Limited to fix an antenna on its telecommunication tower at Boadua. Otwer and three others who were engaged to fix the antenna were working when he suddenly fell from a height of about 45 metres to the ground.

He was rushed to St Dominic Hospital at Akwatia but was pronounced dead on arrival. The body has been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary for autopsy.
