Emmanuel Gospel Ministry supports Frafraha Orphange

Frafraha, Jan. 16, GNA – The Women’s Fellowship of the Emmanuel Gospel Ministry in Accra on Saturday donated one million cedis cash and other items worth four million cedis to the Christ Faith Foster Orphanage (CFFO) at Frafraha near Dodowa for the upkeep of the 46 inmates. The items included foodstuffs, clothing, bags of rice, sugar, provisions, fruits, foot wear, disinfectants, toiletries and loaves of bread.

Presenting the items, Reverend Comfort Akyea Badu said members of the fellowship were moved by the plight of the inmates and decided to offer assistance and pledged to sustain the gesture to ensure that they continued to live a comfortable life.

She commended the management of the orphanage for exhibiting motherly love for the children and providing them a comfortable home. The Reverend prayed that they continued exercising patience and sacrifice to cater for the unfortunate kids, who otherwise would have taken to the streets to become liability to society.

Reverend Badu however, entreated the inmates to be God fearing and reciprocate the gesture with respect, humility, honesty and eschew pride as well as tendencies that would only plunge them into difficulties in future.

Madam Victoria Abraham, Supervisor of the Home received the items and expressed gratitude to individuals, churches, societies and philanthropists on whose benevolence the orphanage survives and prayed that they continue supporting the home since “we live virtually on charity”.

She said the free flow of water has been the major problem confronting the home and appealed to the authorities to take steps to construct pipeline in the area to ensure that they get continuous water. Madam Abraham made a further appeal for a communication facility, so they could communicate for assistance in times of emergency. 16 Jan 05
