Elmina residents rush to siphon fuel from overturned tanker

Residents at Attabadze Junction at Elmina in the Central Region are siphoning fuel from a diesel tanker that has overturned in an accident.

The accident occurred around 12.30 am Saturday after the driver lost his balance in an attempt to overtake a car at the Junction.

The tanker is reported to have been travelling from the Western Region to Accra.

The accident led to fuel spilling on the ground, attracting many including taxi drivers to the scene to scoop fuel in spite of the present danger.
