Ellembelle NDC aspirant disqualified

A National Democratic Congress (NDC) aspirant in the Ellembelle constituency, Mr Miezah Alea who filed his nominations to contest in the November 7, primary of the party has been disqualified.

This follows his inability to meet the requirements of the party as far as electoral procedures are concerned.

The General Secretary of the NDC, Mr Johnson Aside Nketiah confirmed Mr Alea”s withdrawal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency.

Mr Asiedu Nketiah said the decision was reached after the National Electoral Council NDC had scrutised documents of the aspirant to detect the anomaly.

Mr Alea, who hails from Ellembelle and an employee from the Ghana Gas Company at Atuabo, filed his nominations to contest the incumbent Member of Parliament for Ellembelle and Minister of Petroleum, Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah.
