Ellembelle NADMO donates to Ambain community

Ambain (W/R), June 09, GNA – The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in the Ellembelle District has donated 100 bags of cement to the Ambain community in the Western Region.

In making the presentation, the District NADMO Coordinator, Mr Maxwell Essien said that the donation forms part of NADMO’s appreciation to the community for releasing about 20 acres of land to house the Ivorian refugees.

He explained that it was also to enable the chief and elders to renovate a storey building which was released by the community to NADMO to house expectant mothers after delivery.

Mr Esien thanked the chief and elders for their commitment in making the stay of the Ivorians comfortable and also for complementing the efforts of NADMO.

The Chief of Ambain, Nana Nyameke Fofole who received the items with his elders on behalf of the community, thanked NADMO and the Assembly for the gesture and promised that they would use the cement for its purpose.

He pledged the community’s continuous support to the Assembly to augment development in the district.
