Ellembelle MP fetes Assembly Members-elect

Aiyinase (W/R), Jan. 19, GNA – The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle and Deputy Energy Minister, Mr Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, has organized a get-together dinner for Assembly Members-elect in the Ellembelle Constituency.

The function was held at the Aiyinase Community Centre where he gave the assurance that he would assist the newly-elected members to deliver. The MP said being elected by the people amply demonstrated the trust and confidence they had reposed in the new assembly members and, therefore, called on them to work hard to justify the trust their communities had in them.

The District Chief Executive for Ellembelle, Mr Daniel K. Eshun, also congratulated the Assembly Members-elect for their victory in the District Level elections and reiterated the need to be selfless in their service. He indicated that the main function of the District Assembly was to assist them to develop their communities.

Mr Eshun called on the Assembly Members elect to establish a good relationship with the chiefs and the electorate, and to exhibit a high sense of commitment and sacrifice to accelerate the development of their communities.

Mr Paul Nkrumah, an ex-Assembly member who served for three consecutive terms shared his experience with the newly-elected Assembly members and reiterated the need for them to devote their time to the servic= e of their community.
