Aiyinase (W/R), Dec. 28, GNA – Mr Daniel Eshun, Ellembelle District Chief Executive, at the weekend completed a three-day tour of Aiyinase North during which he inspected schools, clinics and on-going projects in 13 communities.
The communities are New Adiembra, Ananekrom, Dadwen, Kroboline, Asomase, Bonsukrom, Basake Number Two, Kwesikrom, Adjeikrom, Santaso, Mondumgbane, Aidoo Suazo and Ewerekosuazo.
Addressing separate meetings with the communities, Mr Eshun said the tour was to give him first hand knowledge of the needs of the communities to enable the District Assembly to come to their aid.
He said the District Assembly was committed to raising the living standards of the people by assisting to solve the developmental problems in the communities.
Mr Eshun expressed concern about the poor state of roads in the area and said the assembly was preparing to purchase a grader to upgrade the roads.
He noted that farmers, especially cocoa farmers, were finding it difficult to convey their produce to buying centres due to poor roads and promised that the problem would soon be a thing of the past. Mr Eshun said the assembly would support the clinic at Aidoo Suazo to enable it to effectively serve 18 communities in the area. 29 Dec. 09
