Babile (UWR), Oct. 18, GNA – President John Agyekum Kufuor on Sunday inaugurated a 2.5 billion cedis electricity project for the people of Babile in the Lawra District of the Upper West Region on the first day of his three-day official tour of the region.
Addressing the people, President Kufuor appealed to them to resolve and ensure they cast their votes for peace to prevail in the area. He asked them to vote for the President and Parliamentary candidate of their choice.
Mr Sahanun Mogtari, the Regional Minister said the project was in fulfillment of a promise made by the NPP to the people in 2000.
