Accra, June 13, GNA – An electrician, who was arrested allegedly with Indian hemp weighing 455.0 grams, on Monday appeared before the Greater Accra Regional Tribunal.

Samuel Botwe, alias Kokoo, who was charged with possession of narcotic drug without lawful authority, pleaded not guilty.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) E.Y. Frimpong told the court that the Police arrested the accused in his house on September 27, 2010 for dealing in dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.

He said the Mamprobi District Police had information that the accused was dealing in the drug.
